WORTHY OF THE CALLING?

Therefore I, the prisoner of The LORD, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being diligent to keep the unity of The SPIRIT in the bond of peace. There is one body and one SPIRIT, just as you also were called in one hope of your calling; one LORD, one faith, one baptism, one GOD and FATHER of all who is over all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:1-6 NASB

I couldn’t help it but ask myself, “Lydia, who called you? And if it is GOD, is your life a reflection of the honour bestowed on everything that comes from GOD? Is your Personal Life a good reflection of your GOD-Calling as much as is your Public and Social Media Life?”

The Calling of GOD in our lives is so worthy and so wonderful and so divine; better words to describe it fail me. 
Hearing from GOD, living as GOD would want you to or being in a position to Minister is not in the ordinary. 
It is a beautiful special occurrence that I am learning to take up with the seriousness that GOD called me with. 
I am understanding that everything I am and do will affect HIS Calling upon my life and so I have to learn to allow HIS Word to Minister to me and make an impact and change on me first, before I utter a word to anyone about it. 
I have to learn to bring every part of me, Body, Soul and Spirit, to fully surrender to HIM. Using HIS Word to show me the places I need to set right; the places that I need to give over to HIM in completeness. 
GOD wants a proper submission to HIS Calling.

So what is a manner worthy of The Calling with which I have been called? 
In Humility…
To understand that The Calling is a privilege, an honour, and not because of how articulate or available I am. To not look down on others in arrogance in the name of “I have been called, how about you?” To keep the position of my heart in line with GOD’s and acknowledging that I did not call and send myself. Acknowledging that The Ministry belongs to HIM and I am just but a Vessel, a Servant.
In Gentleness and Bearing the People around me with Love…
Understanding that I am a relational being and in my relations, I need to be loving and kind to everyone… each and everyone around me.
And when the need to guide and correct them into the ways of GOD comes, when the need to pardon them for their shortcomings comes, I will do it with every Love, Gentleness and Genuineness GOD has dealt me with.
To Keep in Unity with The SPIRIT of GOD through the bond of Peace…
To always have The HOLY SPIRIT within me and around me and not say anything that doesn’t come from HIM. To be one with HIM in my thoughts, actions and words.
Understanding that we are One Body and One Spirit as Christians and making sure to keep that Peace, at all costs. To be at Peace with all People, so far as it depends on me. (Romans 12:18)
To live with every Christian as CHRIST would want me to. To understand that this One Body of Christians is The One Body of CHRIST, and when I fail, the whole Body fails and so I need to be careful how I make moves. 
That there is One GOD and One HOLY SPIRIT under which we all yield to. 
That there is only One Hope, One Faith, One Baptism to which we (All Christians) attest.
Anything outside of these is not worthy of The Calling with which I have received.
Every single day, I will need a refill of The HOLY SPIRIT to guide me on the path that will make my life worthy of The Calling.
HE comes with HIS Fruit that I need to feed on every single day.

On a side note, there’s this song in my Mother Tongue that translates to…
“There is only One GOD, One CHRIST and even The HOLY SPIRIT is One… Christians, what is the war for? Who is this god you keep fighting over?” 
Indeed if we were One In CHRIST, there would be no division happening in the Body of CHRIST. 
Indeed if every Christian lived a life worthy of the calling they have received, the Work of GOD would be done better, easier and faster, I believe.

PRAYER:

Dear GOD,
As I go about my day today, may I stay reminded to live a life worthy of The Calling that I received from YOU.
Help me understand the magnitude of YOUR Call and how everything that comes from YOU is Divine and Perfect.
Help me to live in YOUR ways and may YOUR HOLY SPIRIT be my guide, now and always.
Amen.
