THE SUN
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven…
Ecclesiastes 3:1
I was watching the Sun rise in phases on a certain morning and it hit me that the Sun doesn’t just pop!
There is a process, a process that reminded me of the various Seasons we go through in life.
First, at dawn, there will be darkness, then a few rays show up and they keep increasing with time, then the Sunrise and eventually, the Sun is completely out. And it finally shines in all its magnificence, high up in the sky all day, doing what it knows best; shine, give light and warm the air.
But then in the Evening, it has to set and it does it in another process.
One time we see it and the next, a beautiful Sunset, then the rays and next, the Moon. The Sun radiating its light through the Moon, so we still benefit from it in as much as it isn’t our main source of light then.
Even in the Cold Cloudy Foggy Rainy Weather, the Sun does not miss to rise and set. In as much as its effects are not as evident, it still is somewhere in the sky, giving light to the day and radiating through the Moon in that night still.
So much I see in this…
We don’t grow Spiritually overnight. We don’t become successful overnight. There is a process.
At first, we may not see where the effort goes, but slowly, we can see some rays of it and eventually, we shine as bright as we can go.
Be encouraged. Sometimes we think that nothing is happening, but the rise is coming, as slow as it might seem at times.
The rays of the Sun are so so beautiful and that kind of beauty in you sometimes you don’t see when your head is still under the dawn.
But GOD… HE sees that beauty coming forth. HE creates that beauty. Keep going, you will rise and shine far beyond what you ever thought.
Then when you need to rise to another Glory, you go back under a night for another lesson, to grow you some more and prepare your next magnificent rise and you leave behind something amazing.
A beautiful Sunset kinda effect and because GOD has called us for people, we leave others radiating the light we have been showing and shining on them. The ones we have mentored shine in their night and that of others. The lives we have touched shine in their night and that of others. The souls we have won for CHRIST shine in their night and those of others.
You are beautiful all through. Be beautiful all through. If you refuse to rise then there will be no process.
Imagine all the people you can touch when you lift up your head. That even when you are back into the classroom, you will still be radiating in one way or another. That GOD can still use you in that state. That you can still shine on someone that will radiate the light to others.
Even in the Cold Cloudy Foggy Rainy Weather, don’t refuse to show up. In as much as you and some people might not feel or acknowledge your effect, you are important. You are contributing in a huge way to the day, in ways that you may never know. You could be the one person someone waits to see to smile, you could be the one to offer encouragement to someone who was at the end without even knowing.
Showing up will actually contribute to your triumph through the clouds.
Your being down does not mean that you can’t contribute to something. You can and if you allow it, GOD will use you through the pain to Minister to someone else and because HE never leaves a vessel empty, you will benefit too. Don’t miss out on those chances.
Rise Child of GOD, rise!! For your light has come and the Glory of The LORD has Risen upon you.
Seasons come and go. Some are good, some not so. But if we allow it, GOD will use every Season to make us better at who we are and what we are, and most importantly, our Relationship with HIM sees significant growth.
Never refuse to show up at whatever Season. HE is The GOD of those Seasons and HE will see us through, however dark.
PRAYER:
GOD, make me strong today and every other day, regardless of the Season I am in. May I always remember and have Faith that in whatever Season YOU plant me, YOU will always walk with me, guiding me and leading me in YOUR wonderful ways.
Use the pain that may come to me to make me stronger in YOU and to serve other people as well.
May I always be willing to shine my light on people and may I never give up showing up even when the Storms come.
In JESUS’ Name,
Amen.
