FOR MY GOOD? REALLY? WHAT GOOD?

A story is told of a baby mosquito that went out on its first escapade. It went back home eager to tell the Dad how the escapade went well and how everyone was clapping for it.
We know what the claps were about…
But a lesson… How do we look at our problems? A push forward or a space of negativity and of thinking the worst?
I know, obviously, that we will all be trying to get rid of that mosquito, but what if the baby mosquito was right?
What if people were actually applauding it??

I remember how I used to think that whenever things didn’t go my way or something bad happened to me it was because GOD was done with me for my continuous rebellion or I was being punished for something I did so grave.
That I was that annoying baby mosquito that needed to be squashed.
I would try to remember everything I had done, any non-confessed sins, any stray way I had followed… Life was hard.
I grew up knowing that everything has a consequence, and yes it does.
Only that according to me, the consequence had to happen in the absence of love.I thought that when my Parents were really strict with me, at their point of strictness, then love was absent.
And so I transferred the same to the whole thinking of how GOD loves me.
That when HE is allowing the consequence to happen, then HIS love was diminished, completely inexistent.
Was I wrong!!

Then one day I had a conversation with my Parents. I asked them why they were so rigid with us and the overall answer I got was that they loved us so much that they wouldn’t have wanted us to stray and suffer from indiscipline, yet they would have helped us avoid that.
It was then that I started undoing all the hurt and self doubt in regards my Parents.
And with it, came a realization that the relationship I had carried with GOD all along was dependent on my Parents’.
Totally twisted.
At that point, I started a new journey with GOD and rediscovering myself in HIM.
That perhaps all the claps I thought were slaps were actually claps. HE was actually right there with me, pushing me on closer to HIM, even when I fell down into shameful pits.
HE was up there stretching out HIS Hand to pull me out, even when I would sink into pits of feeling unloved by HIM.
This GOD.

“When I was a Child, I spoke about childish matters, for I saw things like a Child and reasoned like a Child.But the day came when I matured, and I set aside my childish ways.”
1st Corinthians 13:11 TPT

WHAT I HAVE BEEN LEARNING…

GOD is love.
GOD is the perfect example of 1st Corinthians 13.
Go re-read it and rediscover how deep The FATHER’s Love is for us.
The thing about love is that it doesn’t take a break.
GOD doesn’t stop loving us because we have strayed so far from HIM.
GOD will never hate HIS own children, otherwise HE would be going back on HIS Word. HE would never do that.
GOD’s Love is constant even when we don’t feel it, even when HE is rebuking us, even when HE is disciplining us, even when we doubt it, even when HE takes away the very people and things that we hold dear to ourselves.
HIS Love is K Constant.

I don’t know what you may be going through right now, in a place where you feel like GOD has taken away HIS Love for you.
I am here to remind you that even when you feel like your tears no longer translate to prayer, HE sees you.
HE feels you and it pains HIM to see you in pain.
It hurts HIM to see you unhappy and drained.
It’s every Good Father’s prayer to see their children happy.
How much more for GOD to see you living a full life?
And so yes, everything HE does, even that that will cause you pain, HE does it for your good.
And for your good if you love HIM and are called to fulfill HIS designed Purpose.

For them that don’t know GOD and don’t love HIM, I don’t know where you go when the World caves in. Because you may not be able to claim that blessing.
All things could be working together because of the World and what you have done. But the World is full of lies and betrayals, such an unsure place to get your reward and comfort from.
It can take them away any time or reject you even after working so hard.
But I invite you to know CHRIST. The ever present help in time of need. That you well know that even when you feel nothing is working out, you have a place to fall on.
You have a GOD who will realign you to an amazing Purpose even when you stray. That you can always fall back on HIM and HE will never take a break on you.
HE who that never sleeps nor slumbers.

SOMETHING ELSE I REALIZED…

GOD would never take away something from you that was meant for your good.
GOD will never give something to you or keep something on you that will destroy you.
So when HE gives it, HE knows it is for your good. If HE takes it away, it was going to destroy you; still working for your good.
And if HE takes them away, HE kept them from something or their work was done and it was time to take back HIS Child.
Hard as it may be to understand or believe, this is our GOD.
HE will take away the good yes, but was it for our good?
HE will take away the things and people that we love, but from the pain, HE brings good.
Either way, it’s meant for our good.
Truth is, not everything will come easy and sometimes we ask GOD why HE will take it away after we have worked so hard for it.
Most will go with pain, and we wonder why HE allows it to us in the first place.
But HE turns it around for us.
May our mourning be turned into dancing once again.
Remind yourself of that time HE took you out of the miry clay.
And if you feel like your experience was not grand enough, consider this verse…

“HE stooped down to lift me out of danger from the desolate pit I was in, out of the muddy mess I had fallen into.Now HE’s lifted me up into a firm, secure place and steadied me while I walk along HIS ascending path.”
Psalms 40:2 TPT

King David…I
can’t even start imagining the time of a life he had.
He was a King and of course, with so many enemies.
Look at how his anointing and appointment came to be?
Look at how Saul was after him?
Look at how many times he complained to GOD for feeling abandoned?
Look at how he suffered sin?
Yet it was accorded to him as a Man after GOD’s Own Heart.
He got to a place of understanding GOD and how HIS love works in us.
He was quick to repent, he was quick to return to GOD, but he also knew that his actions had consequences.
That never stopped him from believing that GOD still loved him.
That never stopped him from seeking GOD with all his heart.
Can we plan to do the same?

ANOTHER LESSON…

GOD saved your life.
Just not in the way you wanted, but in the way HE wanted to align you back to your destiny.
It may feel cruel, but believe me, HE feels and understands your pain.
My Mum says GOD has promised us a Glory to Glory.
Despite how much it looks like Glory to Dust, GOD knows the good story behind what HE is doing.
Trust HIM wholly.
As I ever said before, there must have been a prayer you made, loudly or silently, knowingly or unknowingly.
GOD heard and HE is answering it.Perhaps not in your time frame or your own plan, but believe HIM, HE is working it out.
Keep loving HIM and walking in HIS Purpose. Keep the Praise and Worship on.
Don’t check out on HIM.

AND TO CONCLUDE…

The enemy is very cunning and smart.
But HE never sees it when GOD is using him to align HIS people’s purposes. He misses it every time. He is so clouded with the plan to destroy you that he overlooks that right after that, Scripture says that JESUS came that we may have life abundantly.

“A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow!”
John 10:10 TPT

A mind of destruction and negativity keeps us from seeing all the good that could happen.
And that is what the enemy wants you to have.
A mind that thinks that GOD doesn’t care much about you or HE does not love you enough.
He will start showing you all the good things that the World could offer.
He will show you how despite being abandoned by GOD, there is a shelter away from HIM.
Don’t fall into his trap. Because once he is done with his plan, and he has given you the time of your life, he will strike. He will devour you.
I say, I’d rather stay with JESUS with nothing, because I have everything in HIM, but never with the devil with everything, because then, I really have nothing.
The enemy is a traitor, don’t sell your soul to him even when your very senses are lying to you that GOD has left you.

Consider Job as well.
He lost everything he had… Everything…
His livestock, his servants, his sons and daughters, his wife.
He was mocked, asked to curse GOD and die by his most important persons, he was sick and at the end of the rope.
Yet he still had strength and hope in GOD. He still Praised GOD.

“The LORD gave and The LORD has taken away; may The Name of The LORD be Praised.”
Job 1:21 NIV

“Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM: but I will maintain mine own ways before HIM.”
Job 13:15 KJV

He first acknowledged that everything he had was from GOD.
That though GOD kills him, he will still argue his case with HIM.
Literally I will stick with GOD to the end. I will stay with HIM even when HE allows all the bad things around me to keep going on. That I will not go argue with another about my “miss-happenings.”
I will not go to the council of elders to ask them to plead my case with GOD, I will not go to the streets for idle gossip about how GOD does not love me. I will not contact other gods to show me a better life neither ask them where my GOD is.
I will personally stand by and before GOD and plead with HIM myself. I will personally seek GOD and for whatever answer HE gives, I will Praise HIM.
Aaaaaahhh… My prayer is that we shall not go seeking our answers all over the place. That we shall understand that GOD wants a personal relationship with us, where communication is open.
Are there days when we will go to HIM angry and utter harsh words? Yes. But what matters is that it is GOD you are dealing with.
Plead your case with HIM. Don’t look for comfort or landings elsewhere.

How close and faithful Job was to GOD that Satan had to go ask for permission to attack him.
How special to GOD he was that no one could touch him without GOD’s permission.
Satan thought that the good life and health Job had was what was keeping Job close and faithful to GOD.
But GOD knew Job’s faithfulness was beyond his health and possessions and so HE allowed it.
But…

“The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.””
Job 1:12 NIV

Makes you want to shout Hallelujah! over your life yet?

And Satan went a second time to GOD about Job. Like he still couldn’t believe that Job held on to GOD without what he had once owned.
I am challenged to keep holding on to GOD for as long as.
And The LORD said of Job…

“There is no one on Earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears GOD and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”
Job 2:3 NIV

May GOD say the same of us.

“The LORD said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”
Job 2:6 NIV

Whatever you are going through shall not destroy you.
GOD has already sent out warnings to anyone with a vendetta against your life.
And if it won’t destroy you, then it isn’t permanent.
Bless GOD!!
HE has already delivered you and so walk in Victory.
The Battle is already won. Walk like the victor you are.
And that right there, is what the enemy never sees coming. That he is fighting to make sure you lose a won battle. Sounds hilarious and almost a waste of time. You’d think he would be doing other things that are more constructive, but no!!
He has seen something in you worth destroying and he will try again.
Do not fret, GOD has put a hedge around you.
Stay in it.
And when HE may open the hedge to something, it will come after you, yes, but it shall not destroy you in JESUS’ Name!

So yes really, for your good, you that love The LORD and are called to fulfill HIS designed Purpose.
For the good that HE is working out, specially designed for and designated to you, for the good that HE has perfected, that comes to you, even when you do not realize you needed it and for the good that HE is yet to deliver to you.
Yes really, for your good, you that love The LORD and are called to fulfill HIS designed Purpose.

You are special to GOD, however in multitudes on Earth we are, claiming the same.
Your relationship with GOD and HIS assurances are not a mass affair.
As much as we will all experience HIM, we experience HIM differently, personally.
Seek HIM personally.
